Beyoncé: Amplifying Voices and Uplifting Communities with BeyGood Organization

Four years ago, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter launched the BLACK PARADE ROUTE, spotlighting Black-owned businesses worldwide. This initiative has since been a powerful testament to the influence and impact of these businesses, celebrating their contributions and fostering community pride.

Last year, Beyoncé’s commitment to Black entrepreneurship resulted in over 100 small businesses receiving support through a $1M investment. Collaborating with organizations like Goldman Sachs, Mastercard, Cisco, Grameen Bank, and NMSDC, essential resources were provided to elevate these businesses. The goal is to create significant economic impact across multiple cities, ensuring the success of thousands of small businesses. This collective effort underscores the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund: In February 2024, Beyoncé introduced the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund in partnership with her new haircare line, Cécred. This fund honors the vital role of professional stylists and supports the cosmetology community. With an annual $500,000 contribution, it offers scholarships and business grants in cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey. Scholarships have been awarded to students at institutions such as Trenz Beauty Academy in Chicago and Universal College of Beauty in Los Angeles. Business grants have supported salons including Kingdom Glam the Beauty Depot in Atlanta and Nela Beauty Salon LLC in Los Angeles.

RENAISSANCE Scholars: Beyoncé’s $1M commitment to the RENAISSANCE Scholars program, launched alongside her 2023 RENAISSANCE World Tour, continues to uplift education. Scholarships have been awarded to colleges and universities across the globe, including Prairie View A&M University, Jackson State University, and Bahia State University. This initiative emphasizes the power of education in fostering self-empowerment and personal growth.

Black Equestrian Programs: Beyoncé’s support for Black Equestrian programs celebrates the rich legacy of Black cowboys and ranchers. In partnership with the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo, grants are provided to ranchers and rodeos in California, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma, preserving and celebrating this vital aspect of American history.

BeyGOOD’s presence at the Freedom Ball on June 15th in Los Angeles highlighted the pioneering work of the Kiki House of Fubu and the Haus of Basquiat. The event was a vibrant celebration of community and inclusivity. The energy was palpable, a testament to the power of unity and celebration.

BeyGOOD, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, continues to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. Contributions are tax-deductible, and even a small donation of $19 can help sustain this impactful work. Join the movement, spread the word, and together, let’s continue to uplift and empower our communities.
