The lines swelled with ticket holders, each donned in their finest attire, their style sharp, and their confidence radiant. It was a sight to behold - young Black professionals coming out in droves, each more ready than the next to illuminate the event with their presence.

CultureCon truly lived up to its reputation of facilitating genuine connection and intimacy among its attendees. This celebration of community was marked by the participation of stellar talents like Coco Jones, Victoria Monét, Lakeyah, DJ Yannick Jokes, Sterling K. Brown, Jay Pharoah, and the cast of “The Blackening,” Tim Story, Dewayne Perkins, and X Mayo. The event pulsated with the energy and spirit of Juneteenth and Black Music Month.

Jay Pharoah, the beloved actor and comedian from "The Blackening," and the four-time EMMY® Award-winning journalist, Francesca Amiker, led the proceedings. Their vibrant energy matched the diverse crowd of creatives, professionals, and trailblazers who were in attendance.

This monumental event was presented by Max and saw partnership from industry giants such as CÎROC, Sephora, Prime Video, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, P&G My Black is Beautiful, Aveeno, Springhill, CNN Original Series, The Hoxton, Endeavor, Getty, and Sony.

CultureCon also served as a platform to empower and uplift creatives, young professionals, and entrepreneurs. It offered a rich array of workshops, interactive activations, and networking opportunities. The attendees also got a chance to support Black-owned businesses.

The event saw CultureCon teaming up with South Central LA's apparel company, Bricks & Wood, to design the official CultureCon LA T-shirt. This collaboration celebrated the power of community and the role of diverse creatives in propelling cultural conversation.

The event catered to the attendees' taste buds too, featuring a variety of Black-owned restaurants. The food offered ranged from VeganAF's plant-based street food to NY Chopped Cheese's bodega fare, bringing a flavor-filled treat for all.

Max and Scene In Black were back as presenting partners, setting up the VIP and talent lounges. They kept their focus on the creatives of color, providing them with a space for enriching discussions, networking, and creative inspiration.

This CultureCon LA was just the beginning. The Creative Collective NYC is poised to continue its mission of providing brave spaces for diverse creatives and professionals, all while championing the influence of diverse voices on our culture.
