Rowand Family's One Stop Taxes, One of America's Fastest-Growing Companies, to Host Black Tax Fest 2024

One Stop Taxes, founded by Mowbray and Cherina Rowand, has been honored as one of the 2023 Inc. Magazine's 5000 Fastest Growing Companies in America. This recognition highlights their outstanding contributions to the business world and their relentless pursuit of excellence.

The Rowands own the largest Fat Tuesday in the world, situated in downtown Memphis, along with three luxurious Airbnb penthouse apartments on top of the building. In collaboration with platinum-selling rapper and producer 2 Chainz, they own ESCO Restaurant in Memphis, TN, located next to the FedEx Forum and the Westin hotel downtown.

They launched one of the largest Black-owned tax firms in the nation, One Stop Taxes, and will soon host their annual Black Tax Festival. The Rowands also own Rich University, a real estate capital hub that supports funding, purchasing, fixing, flipping, and holding real estate.

Expanding their culinary footprint, they own Fat Jesse’s and Slim Jesse’s restaurants in the Dominican Republic. They have received the WEW Pillah & Visionary Men Award and maintain a strong partnership with the NBA Grizzlies and the FedEx Forum.

One Stop Taxes will be hosting the Black Tax Fest 2024, in Florida from July 5-7, 2024, at the iconic Fontainebleau Hotel. Hundreds of tax professionals and financial service experts from across the nation will converge to share knowledge, forge connections, and celebrate their critical roles in maximizing tax returns, guiding investments, and securing financial futures for their clients. With one of the industry’s premier banks, Refund Advantage, as the title sponsor, Black Tax Fest is bringing together the key players in the finance industry for one life-changing experience. As one of the event's co-founders Cherina Rowand explains, "Black Tax Fest is designed to recognize and empower entrepreneurs to scale their businesses to seven and eight figures!"

Journalists will find a wealth of stories at Black Tax Fest 2024, where direct access to decision-makers is a key feature. The event offers a unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders and innovators, who are dedicated to driving success and transformation in their communities. "Black Tax Fest is a celebration of the impact tax professionals have on communities across the country," co-founder Mowbray Rowand elaborates. With prime exhibit space and comprehensive marketing exposure, vendors will showcase their cutting-edge products and services, making it a vibrant marketplace of ideas and innovations. The festival also features an exclusive awards gala, which is a joy every year, celebrating franchise owners and industry leaders. As organizers Mowbray and Cherina Rowand express, “The Gala is always a highlight, just basking in the recognition of all our franchise owners really makes it all worthwhile.”

Beyond the conference rooms and gala, attendees will enjoy entertainment from Pleasure P, plus Coach Stormy and Snoop Dillard taking the stage, adding an exciting dimension to this empowering event. Black Tax Fest 2024 stands out not only as a conference but as a testament to the power of innovation and community engagement. It underscores the unique relationship Black tax professionals have with their communities, driving economic empowerment and growth. For journalists covering the intersection of business, community, and innovation, this event is a must-attend, offering rich narratives and inspiring success stories.
