14-Year-Old Arrested in Stabbing at Los Angeles Protest Against Immigration Orders
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a stabbing at a protest in downtown Los Angeles on February 7, 2025. The protest, held outside Los Angeles City Hall, was organized to oppose former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near 200 North Spring Street, close to Grand Park. A 17-year-old boy was stabbed during the altercation and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Authorities confirmed that the victim remains hospitalized but has stabilized.
Witnesses at the protest reported that the suspect was not part of the demonstration but appeared to be antagonizing the crowd before the stabbing occurred. Police described the suspect as a “male Hispanic juvenile.”
On February 12, the LAPD announced that the 14-year-old suspect had been arrested in the Rampart area of Los Angeles. He was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Investigators are still working to determine the motive and circumstances leading up to the attack.
