The Grammy-nominated artist steps into her founder era with GloVerse, an on-demand marketplace connecting clients with verified glam professionals

LOS ANGELES (October 19, 2026) Bacon Magazine has named GloRilla its October 2026 digital cover star, spotlighting the Grammy-nominated rapper’s move into beauty technology as Founder of GloVerse. The cover story goes inside the on-demand marketplace that connects clients with verified hair, makeup and beauty professionals, whether they are booking at home or in a city they have never visited.
Born Gloria Woods in Memphis, Tennessee, GloRilla built GloVerse out of a challenge she faced on the road. Touring, performing and press days meant she constantly needed glam in unfamiliar cities, where finding professionals skilled in textured hair, protective styling and makeup for melanin-rich skin came down to DMs, referrals and guesswork. She soon realized the same scattered process frustrated brides, business travelers, busy moms and everyday clients everywhere.
“GloVerse was built from real life,” GloRilla tells Bacon Magazine. “I’ve been in situations where finding the right glam team wasn’t easy, even with all the resources around me. Then I realized it wasn’t just my experience. People everywhere deal with it every day. I wanted to build something that creates real opportunities for beauty professionals and makes it easier for everyone to find trusted talent.”
GloVerse launched in beta in October with a provider-first strategy, onboarding glam professionals across the United States before opening to clients. Beauty pros on the platform, called GloPros, get a storefront-style profile and a shareable GloID link, while clients will be able to filter by hair type, face shape and specialized services such as loc removal and scalp spa treatments, receive AI-powered recommendations and choose whether to travel to a professional or have one come to them. The full GloVerse mobile app is expected to arrive free on iOS and Android by the end of 2026.
The company was developed in partnership with OUT.LI.ER, the brand architecture, venture strategy and growth consultancy led by Founder and CEO Georgii Speakman, who serves as Strategic Venture Partner of GloVerse. Into 2027, GloVerse plans to expand into commerce, education, memberships, creator partnerships, live experiences and financial tools for independent beauty entrepreneurs.
“GloVerse is about more than booking appointments,” Speakman says. “We’re building infrastructure for one of the most entrepreneurial industries in the world, so independent beauty professionals can build stronger businesses, clients can confidently discover trusted talent, and creators and communities can connect in entirely new ways.”
GloVerse is onboarding beauty professionals now, giving stylists, makeup artists and other glam pros the chance to set up a GloPro profile and GloID link before client bookings open. Beauty professionals interested in joining the platform, and clients waiting on the full app launch, can learn more at gloverse.co. Read GloRilla’s full cover story on Bacon Magazine.
